Artist, storyteller, and the hands (and heart!) behind The Gloaming, offering a little bit of cozy, witchy magic straight from a small town in the Scottish Borders. What started as a search for gentle, herbal ways to support my child soon bloomed into a full-time calling. Gloaming is my studio of folklore, handmade rituals, and creative chaos — where every candle, print, and potion carries a little piece of story and intention.

Why I Started Gloaming

Gloaming didn’t begin as a business. It began as a quiet need — a way to help my child when eczema and sensory overwhelm made daily life uncomfortable. I turned to herbalism and aromatherapy in search of something gentle, natural, and effective.

In that process, I rediscovered parts of myself I’d long buried under deadlines and day jobs. The act of crafting — slowly, intentionally, lovingly — became its own kind of ritual. A way to reclaim calm and connection. A way to share healing, art, and story.

I recently left my role as an adviser to do this full-time. Gloaming is now my heart's work — a space for softness, slowness, folklore, and a little bit of witchy chaos.

From eco-friendly soy wax melts to art infused with myth and moss, everything I make is rooted in story. I grow many of my own herbs, lean into my Scottish heritage, and draw daily inspiration from ancient lore, forest walks, and the soft chaos of life with my crazy family and our cat, Kitty Purry (yes, really).

No spellbook is complete without a few mischievous sidekicks. Bramble, my ginger-haired storybook witch, dances between pages and prints—always with her grumpy but lovable familiar curled up nearby. And then there’s Kitty Purry, my real-life chaos gremlin: guardian of cardboard boxes, destroyer of to-do lists, and occasional Zoom invader.
